Hever Castle

Hever Castle is located in the village of Hever in Kent, near the town of Edenbridge.  (Hever Rd, Hever, Kent TN8 7NP)

Built in the 13th century, it began as a country house.  From 1462 to 1539, it was the seat of the Boleyn (originally ‘Bullen’) family.

Chartwell was the much-loved Churchill family home and the place from which Sir Winston drew inspiration from 1924 until the end of his life.  It is now run by the National Trust.

Ashdown Forest

Originally a deer hunting forest in Norman times, Ashdown Forest is now the largest free public access space in the South East.  It is a great place for walking and enjoying spectacular views of the Sussex countryside, and is known the world over as the ‘home’ of Winnie the Pooh.

Loseley Park
