Racing and Music Nights 2012
Our famous Racing and Music Nights return for what will be a sensational summer party in 2012. We've lined up some of the best tribute acts from across the ages to entertain everyone.
If you've never been to a Saturday summer race meeting at Lingfield Park, you are truly missing out. From June to August, we race most Saturday evenings with a full list of races. As the sun goes down after the last race, the attention turns to the big stage as the music starts.
Best enjoyed with friends, we offer some great discounts for groups of 10 or more to enjoy the evening - just find an excuse to celebrate! Many of our acts this year also lend themselves to fancy dress which all adds to the spirit of the evening.
Saturday 16 June - The Take That Experience
What a great way to start our summer season. All five
members of the group will be here to recreate the magic of all the
hits. This is sure to be a popular evening so early booking is
essential.
Saturday 23 June - Ronnie Scott's
The All Star House band from the legendary London Jazz club will be
here to entertain. This event is probably not what you're
expecting - particularly if you have a conception that Jazz
'isn't for you'. The fantastic musicians and singers
will be performing well-known pop songs but in a Jazz style.
Saturday 30 June - One night of Queen
Gary Mullen, Winner of ITV's "Stars in their
Eyes" will be here with his live band 'The Works' to
recreate the magic of Freddie Mercury and Queen.
Saturday 21 July - Ladies Night featuring Everything Buble
One of the must attend events of the summer! Ladies
Night always a great night to attend with friends. Plan your
outfits carefully as there will be prizes on offer for those deemed
most elegant. Everything Buble will be on hand to entertain us all
after racing. With his take on the legendary Swing performer, there
will be lots of sing-along moments.
Saturday 28 July - Wham/George Michael
This week we'll take you back to the 80's with
great music from this talented performer. As we transform Lingfield
Park into Club Tropicana, you're encouraged to dress
accordingly. With songs from both the early Wham years and then
George Michael's later solo career, Joseph will be sure to get
you dancing.
Saturday 4 August - The Beached Boys
Straight from a great performance at the famous 'Matthew Street
Music Festival in Liverpool', The Beached Boys will be
recreating the unique sounds of the all-American boy band. Hawaiian
shirts are a must!
Saturday 11 August - Grease Night
Go Grease Lightning! T-birds and Pink Ladies will be in abundance
as we sing-along to this well known show.
Saturday 18 August - The Bootleg Beatles
The fantastic four, accompanied by live strings and brass will be
here making their Lingfield Park debut. Formed over 30 years ago,
they have performed as the original boy band over 4000 times and
are widely acknowledged as one of the best shows around, recreating
the magic of the Beatles over 5 different eras.
