Golf Club

Established in 1987, Lingfield Park Golf Club is set amongst 200 acres of breathtaking Surrey Parkland at Lingfield Park Racecourse. The Course is a challenging 18 hole, 72 standard scratch course that is 6487 yards in length and offers bunkers, wind funnels, streams, ponds and a variety of mature trees which all make for a great day's sport for golfers of all abilities. The course was the home of the Surrey PGA Open for three consecutive years.

Along with his many fans, everyone involved in Lingfield Park Racecourse and Golf Club were very sad to learn that Sir Henry Cooper had passed away . He was a great supporter of Lingfield Park holding a longstanding position of Patron of the Golf Club for over 20 years.

Last November he opened the new golf academy which forms part of the Marriott Hotel at Lingfield. As ever, he made a wonderful impromptu speech, joking that he would be trying out all the new practice facilities.

Back in 2003, with great enthusiasm, he also opened the newly refurbished grandstand on the racecourse, a plaque inscribed with his name has pride of place within. Over the years he has attended many functions at both the racecourse and the golf club and entertained hundreds of fans. As a good friend to many of the Lingfield staff and customers, he will be truly missed.

The Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club opened in May 2010 incorporates a new club house, pro-shop, changing facilities and golf lounge for members and residents alike. In addition there have been many enhancements to the course, including a new state of the art academy area including a split level putting green, bunkers, chipping area, driving range and covered teaching bay area. Different tee positions allow for all standards of golfer and with the new academy Lingfield Park will become the venue of choice for experienced and amateur golfers alike. The hotel offers 116 luxury bedrooms, many with golf course views, a selection of private function and hospitality suites, Spa, Cyprium Bar & Grill and of course, the 18 hole golf course.
